Klapados Waterfall

The waterfall of Klapados is well hidden in the woods surrounding the ruined village(next to the Stipsi village) in which the last winning battles of Greek army against Turkish one took place for the independence of Lesvos island(December 1912). In short, after turn left on the dirt road coming from the Kalloni to Petra before we arrived in the village, on the left we find a large clearing.

After you park there, in the background a path goes through the woods. As we begin to descend the side and approach the waterfall, the hum of the water becomes more intense and leads us to discover it. Its height is about 15 to 16 meters.
